Dear Mr. Hendrie:
I am in favor of, the venting of Krypton 85 gas.from Three :dile Island Unit II.
It is extremely important that this plant be cleaned up and maintained.
The experts who have studied the alternatives have all said " vent it."-
It is only a few radical groups and individuals who seem to be causing the delays and the rest of us must suffer for it.
Except for a few~ radical groups, all leading' scientists and nuclear experts have said that the accident at Three Mile Island did no harm to.the public.
Yet the undamaged reactor at,the island has not been producing electricity J nce." arch 23, 1979 and we are buying all the i
high priced electric frum other utilities.
This is bankrupting "et-Ed's customers and'the company cannot do anything about it and still supply us with the electric we need.
I am asking you to ' listen k;o the experts who have the knowledge and rational thoughts to. know what is best for cleaning up Three :.iile,
Island and getting.it operating again.
We must have electric and cohl can't do it alone.
Oil and gas are out of the cuestion.
Let's get T%I. running so that Pennsylvania will have the electricity we need and show everyone that TUI.was-not a catastrophe but in industrial incident.

I ytant ny children to have the same opportunity that I have had here in Central Pennsylvania and the only way this can happen is for them to have a good low-cost -
supply of electricity.
The only way they can have this is to use nuclear power.
You are in the position to take a positive step and get Ceri:~ral Pennsylvania back to the progressive role it deserves.
Let's clean up Three Mile Island and 'get it operating again.
