Dear Mr. Grier:
NRC INSPECTION REPORT 50-272/79-18 INSPECTION DATE MAY 26 - JUNE 30, 1979 SUPPLEMENTAL REPORT UNIT NO. 1 SALEM GENERATING STATION This is a Supplemental Report informing you of a change to our previous response dated September 19, 1979.
Our previous submittal indicated that Administrative Procedures AP-9 (Work Order System) and AP-13 (Control of Lifted Leads and Jumpers) would be revised to ensure that the Work Order System and the Control of Lifted Leads and Jumpers System would be tied together.
This has been accomplished.
It was also stated that a new Unavailable Equipment Log would be utilized which would contain a column for identifying jumpers installed on any piece of equipment removed from service.
Our experience since implementing the revisions to AP-13 and AP-9 has shown that those revisions are sufficient to prevent a re-occurrence of the problem identified in the inspection.
The ad-dition of the column to the Unavailable Equipment Log is unneces-sary and has not been incorporated into the log.
