Perry Nuclear Power Plant Docket Nos. 50 440; 50-441 Construction Permits Nos. CPPR-148; CPFR-149 IE Bulletin No. 80-09 Gentlemen:
The following information is supplied in response to IE Eulletin No. 80-09 which addresses Hydramotor Actuator deficiencies.
A survey of the vendors supplying valve actuators to the Perry Nuclear Power Plant indicated that only Powers Regulator Co. is supplying ITT General Controls Model NH-90 Series Hydremotor Actuators. No Model AH-90 are being supplied to Perry.
ITT-GC has confirmed that the Powers Regulator Co. purchase order for Perry is not affected by the deficiencies noted in the IE Bulletin. Furthermore, ITT-GC has supplied Powers Regulator Co. with updated test data which shows ample spring force for the Perry damper operators.
