SUBJECT:

NEW MEXICO REQUEST 'FOR ASSISTANCE IN REVIEW 0F EXXON AND MOBIL IN-SITU PROJECTS Mobil Oil has received a license from the State of New Mexico for a solution extraction uranium in-situ project. Exxon Corporation has submitted an application to the State for a similar operation. The State has been made aware of the problems associated with the Wyoming Minerals Corporation Irigaray in-situ project. Therefore, they have requested documentation of the NRC's corrective actions taken on Wyoming Minerals as background for the States review of their projects.

If possible, we would appreciate your response and the appropriate information by June 11, 1980.
