l This preliminary notification constitutes EARLY notice of events of POSSIBLE national security or public interest sionificance.
The information presented is as initially received without verification or evaluation and is basically l
all that is known by IE staff as of this date.
SUBJECT:
ANTINUCLEAR DEMONSTRATIONS Information has been received by the NRC regarding several anti-nuclear demonstrations commemorating the first anniversary of TMI, at or near nuclear facilities scheduled for March 28 and 29, 1980.
Although unsubstantiated, information is available which indicates civil disobediance may be employed during the demonstrations.
Appropriate licensees and law enforcement agencies have been notified.
Necessary precautions are being taken.
The IAT has been notified.
This PN is being issued to alert the Commission of the possibility of publicity regarding these planned demonstrations.
