Dear Mr. Muller:

The Department of Housing and Urban Development has reviewed the draft environmental statement for Arkansas Nuclear One, Unit 1, and does not have comments regarding the said statement.

Our Little Rock Area Office points out that the nearest residential areas are located two miles northwest of the site at London and five miles southeast'of the site at Russellville. The Area Office further points out that the normal growth of Russellville is not expected to be affceted by the installation since Illinois Bayou, located west and northwest of the city, forms a natural barrier between the city and the site.
