Mr. R. W. Reid June 4,1976 With regard to Item No. 4,Section V.B.2 of 10 CFR 50, Appendix I, requires the submittal of proposed Technical Specifications that comply with the concept of "as low as reasonably achievable." The District is complying with this requirement by submitting Section 2.6 (Radioactive Discharges) and Section 5.6 (Plant Reporting Requirements) of Appendix B to its existing Technical Specifications for Rancho Seco Unit No.1.
As described in the objectives and bases, these Technical Specifications comply with Rti 50-2 values and therefore meet the intent of Appendix I to 10 CFR 50.
Two additional signed and notarized originals and 37 copies of this letter are enclosed.
