Docket No. 50-312 Rancho Seco Nuclear Generating Station, Unit No.1

Dear Mr. Reid:

Under requirements of Section V.B. of Appendix I to 10 CFR 50, the Sacramento Municipal Utility District is forwarding the following information with regard to its Rancho Seco Nuclear Generating Station, Unit No.1, whose construction permit application was filed November 1,1967:

The information pmvided includes but is not limited to control equipment descriptions and qualifitative and quantitative estimates of principal radionuclides projected to be relea' sed to the unrestricted areas in both liquid and airborne effluents from normal operations.

An evaluation showing the capability of Rancho Seco Unit No. ! to meet the requirements set forth in RM 50-2 and 10 CFR 50, Appendix I.

Information requested in Appendix D of Draft Regulatory Guide No. 1.BB.

Technical Specifications whose purpose is to keep releases of radioactive material to unrestricted areas during normal operations as low as practicable.

Items Nos.1, 2, and 3 above can be found in the attached report provided by Teknekron Energy Resource Analysts (TERA) under contract to SMUD.

The District's staff was directly involved in the report preparation and is in agreement with the conclusions reached.
