The enclosed two copies of the Toledo Edison Company Davis-Besse Nuclear Power Station Unit No. 1 report " Fire Confirmation Testing of Cable Tray Penetration Seals in Concrete Walls Utilizing Silicone Elastomers" are for your use.
This report is to comply with the request made in your letter of September 30, 1977 and its enclosure. This testing was directed at satisfying the two criteria set forth in the enclosure to your letter.
The subject testing in accordance with ASTM E-119 and enclosed report, confirm the capability of the Davis-Besse Unit 1 electrical penetration's fire retardant seals to effectively maintain the integrity of their respective fire barriers.
