BOMB THREAT On May 19, 1980, at app'roximately 2:00 p.m., a bomb threat was received by the

receptionist at the Westinghouse planc.

An unidentified man, speaking in an angry voice stated "Tnere is a bomb in the plant and this is no lie."

The man did not furnish any further information. The licensee conducted a search of the plant site with negative results. The facility was not evacuated and. continued to operate.

There has been no media interest. A news release is not planned by the licensee or the NRC. The State of South Carolina has been notitied. The IAT was notified.

This Preliminary Notification is issued for information only and no further action by IE Is anticipated.

Region II (Atlanta) received notification of this occurrence by telephone from the licensee at 4:45 p.m. on May 19.
