EXCEPTIONS TO THE ONE-YEAR AUDIT FREQUENCY N..
In response to your request at the recent Interoffice QA Task Force meeting, the QAB has researched the docketed QA programs of utilities and principal. contractors
.to determine if exceptions or alternatives to the one-year audit frequency have been accepted by us. This effort has involved the review of approximately 128 docketed QA programs.for utilities and principal contractors.
c We have found no exceptions or alternatives to the one-year internal audit frequency for the design and construction phase as specified in Regulatory Guide 1.144, Position C.3.a.
However, at least 30 QA programs for the operations phase have been granted a two-year audit frequency commensurate with the audit guidelines in Regulatory Guide 1.33~, Revision 2, Position C4.
Of course, additional audit requirements are imposed on operating plants as indicated in Section 6 of the Standard Tech-nical Specifications.
