Three Mile Island Nuclear Station, Unit I (TMI-1)
Operating License No. DPR-50 Docket No. 50-289 IE Bulletin 79-14 Series Supplement 2 to IE Bulletin 79-14 requests the Architect / Engineer (AE) who identifies a nonconformance, found while performing work required by the subject bulletin, complete an initial engineering judgement of the non-conformance in two (2) days. Additionally, the AE should complete an analytical engineering evaluation o# the nonconformance within thirty (30) days.
TMI-I is currently in a cold shutdown condition and is required to notify the NRC prior to startup. Also, our AE has proposed a reasonable reanalysis schedule, requiring more than the allowable thirty (30) days, in the interest of performing an accurate engineering evaluation, in an organized manner.
It is anticipated that the piping analyses will be accomplished by September 30, 1980. Therefore, Met-Ed requests a univer to the reporting requirements of nonconformance 'found per the IE Bulletin 79-14 series.
