Gentlemen:
This letter is to inform you of the status of our efforts in response to the subject bulletin. We are presently developing our response to iteme 1, 2 and 3 of this bulletin.
However, due to the extensive effort re-quired by tnis bulletin and our concurrent efforts on other NRC. required items, we will be unable to complete all actions required by IE Bulletin 79-01B (items 1, 2 and 3) within the 45 days specified in the bulletin.
Following is our projected schedule of completion:

Items 1, 2 and 3 for three systems on each unit will be com-pleted and submitted to you by March 3 as required by item 7A of the bulletin.
(There arc approximately 15 systems per unit within the scope of the bulletin.)
2.
Items 1, 2 and 3 for all remaining systems will be completed by March 31, 1980.
During the interim period, between March 3 and 28,'results will be submitted on a system by system basis as they are completed.
Items-4 and 5 of the bulletin are required to be complete within 90 days of receipt of_ the bulletin. We plan to begin work on these items as soon as possible. Although completion of items 1, 2 -and 3 are a prerequisite to item 4, we will begin work on item 4 on a system by system basis as the -
- results of the prerequisite items are complete.
At this time, we do not have sufficient information-to develop a schedule of completion for items 4 & 5.
However,'in our estimation all action required for these items can-
.not be completed within the 90 days allowed.
