. Applicability:

Applies themal and chemical effluent limitations upon the operation of bhine Yankee.

The purpose of the specification is to assure that Objective:

All thermal and chemical discharge limits shall be in accordance with the limits and conditions

NPDES Discharge Permit No. ME0002569 issued by I

1 the United States Environmental Protection Agency (Region 1).

2.

Waste Discharge License Certification No. 746 issued by the State of thine - Department of Environmental Protection.

Limits and conditions contained in the above referenced documents, which set themal and chemical effluent limitations upon the operation of bhine Yankee, are herewith, incorporated by reference in Section 1.0 of the Maine Yankee ~- Appendix B Technical Specifica-tions.

All future modifications to the above referenced B.

1.1 SURVEILLANCE AND REPORTING REQUIREbENTS Applicability:

Applies biological monitoring and surveillance requirements upon the operation of Maine Yankee.

Objective:

. The purpose of the specification is ta assure that the biological monitoring and surveillance programs perfomed at bhine Yankee confom to applicable Federal and State requirements.

I Specification:

A.

The biological monitoring and surveillance for the bhine Yankee Atomic Power Station shall be as approved by:

The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency by letter from EPA (R. J Leger - Permit Branch) f to Mr. V. S. R ompson - bhine Yankee Atomic Power Company dated June 1, 1976 (Attachment C).
