Gentlemen:
Haddam Neck Plant Millstone Nuclear Power Station, Unit No.1
. SEP - Anchorage and Support of Safety-Related Electrical Equipment In Reference (1),' Connecticut Yankee Atomic Power Company (CYAPCO) and Northeast Nuclear Energy Company (NNECO) were advised of recent Staff concerns relative to the' anchorage and support of safety-related electrical equipment. Reference (2) described the actiort plan developed by CYAPC0 and NNECO in response to Staff concerns expressed in Reference (1). Further information regarding the action plan developed by CYAPC0 and NNECO, as well as results of investigations performed
-to date, is summarized below.
Lists of safety-related electrical equipment have been developed and field inspections performed of supports of all accessible safety-related electrical equipment.
The field inspections have verified that nearly all safety-related electrical components at the Haddam Neck Plant and Mil.' stone Unit No.1 have positive anchorage. Modifications to those few compnents that are not positively anchored are presently in design and implementation is scheduled to completed during the upcoming refueling outage at the Haddam Neck Plant. A listing of (components in this category is provided as Attachment 1 for the Haddam Neck Plant. No such components have been identified at Millstone Unit No.1 to date.
Information has been gathered through record. searches and field inspection to facilitate evaluation of required anchorage as compared to installed anchorage.-
Evaluations of existing i apport configurations are in progress and modifications which may be necessary are targeted for completion by September 1, 1980. The 80032(O Q 7 4
