50-328 TVA met with members of the Instrumentation and Control Systems Branch (ICSB) on January 26, 1980, to discuss the electrical system technical specifications for Sequoyah Nuclear Plant.

At the conclusion of that meeting, the open item regarding surveillance requirements for the diesel generator batteries and vital battery banks was not resolved; the ICSB scaff requested additional information.

Enclosed are five copies of that additional information. is the proposed technical specifications as discussed with R. Satterfield and D. Lasner by telephone on January 29, 1980.

contains the technical justification for the proposed average specific gravity of 1.195 and a discussion of battery reliability.

This informa-tion should be sufficient to satisfy the concerns expressed by Mr. Lasher.
