NRC-IE Bulletin Nos. 78-12, 78-l?A,78-12B Atypical Weld Material in Reactor Pessure Vessels This is in response to your letter dated May 4,1979 regarding the due date for the responses to the above bulletin.
In reference to Donald C.
Cook Nuclear Stations Unit 1 and Unit 2, and upon information we received from Westinghouse, the schedules are as follows:
Unit No.2:
Chicago Bridge and Iron Compa,'y has submitted the necessary report to the NRC and Westinghocse.
Westinghouse is conducting their review and will have the necessary information to us as soon as possible. We expect to respond to the NRC by May 29, 1979 as required by IE Bulletin 78-12B.
Unit No.'.
AEP has been informed by Westinghouse that the generic weld material data are expected to be available to Westinghouse on or about June 8,1979,from Combustion Engineering.
Following the necessary review by Westinghouse, and then by AEP, AEP will submit the response to the NRC. We expect our sub-mittal can be made by July 2, 1979.
