Dear Mr. Reid:
This is in response to your letter of May 12, 1980, in which you requested, pursuant to the Freedom of Information Act, five categories of documents pertaining to specific companies in South Dakota and Wyoming.
~ Please find enclosed the documents listed on Appendix A, which are subject to your request.
Documents 1 through 4 respond to your request in paragraph 1 and documents 5 through 7 respond to your request in paragraph 2.
Portions of document 4 have been deleted in order to withhold social security nunbers. Because disclosure of this information would constitute a clearly unwarranted invasion of personal privacy, it is being withheld from public disclosure pursuant to Exemption (6) of the Freedom of Information Act (5 U.S.C. 552(b)(6)) and 10 CFR 9.5(a)(6).
Pursuant to 10 CFR 9.9 of the Commission's regulations, it has been detennined that the information withheld is exempt from production or disclosure, and that its production or disclosure is contrary to the public interest. The persons responsible for this denial are the undersigned and John G. Davis, Deputy Director Office of Nuclear Material Safety & Safeguards.

This denial may' be appealed to the Commission's Executive Director for l
Operations within 30 days from the receipt of this letter.
As provided in 10 CFR 9.11, any such appeal must be in writing, eddressed to the-Executive Director for Operations, U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission, Washington, DC 20555, and should clearly state on the envelope and in the letter that it is an " Appeal,from an Initial FOIA Decision."

Licenses." Code 11-500 " Mines" refers to in-situ mining activities on 9
which there is 'no other input.

9 PARAGRAPH 5:
TVA has an active NRC license for a facility in South Dakota. The license was issued to TVA as a Tennessee company and, therefore, would not show up in the computer printout for NRC licenses in South Dakota.
There are no other mill licenses in South Dakota that
