jg3 5E G ral Files - Suljett Ld et No. 50-339 Mr. R. A.1.'icsemann, Manager Regulatory and Legislative Affairs Westinghouse Electric Corporation P. O. Box 355 Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania 15230
Dear Mr. Wisemann:
SUBJECT:
WITHHOLDING FROM PUBLIC DISCLOSURE - AW-80-22 By-your application, dated April 29, 1980, you submitted supplemental infor-l mation concerning guide tube wear originally submitted by application and I
affidavit, dated November 7,1979, and requested that it be withheld from public disclosure pursuant to 10 CFR 2.790.
The original submittal, CAW-79-40, was withheld from public disclosure in an NRC letter, dated February 15, 1980.
l Your reason for requesting withholding of the April 29, 1980 submittal was that the original submittal on guide tube wear had been withheld and that this material has also been held in confidence by Westinghouse, no public j
disclosure of it has been made and release of it to the public would jeopardize the competitive status of Westinghouse.
j We have reviewed your application and material based on the requirements and j
criteria of 10 CFR 2.790 and have determined that the above-mentioned document sought to be withheld contains trade secrets or confidential, commercial infor-j mation.
s i
j We also have found at this time that the right of the public to be fully apprised l
as to the bases for and effects of the proposed action does not outweigh the demonstrated concern for protection of your competitive position. Accordingly, l
ue have determined that the information should be withheld from public disclosure.
l We therefore approve your request for witholding pursuant to Section 2.'790 fu of 10 CFR Part:2 and are withholding.the supplemental-infonnation concerning.
.i guide tube wear.from public inspection as ~ proprietary.
