This is in response to your letters dated May 8,1980 and liay 20, 1980, requesting approval of certain procedures for detemination of receivers values for uranium hexafluoride from a foreign supplier.
He have reviewed your proposed procedures and have requested, and received, additional information from members of your staff.
Based on your written request and the additional data supplied, we have determined that the proposed procedures are acceptable. Accordingly, a new License Condition 2.8 is hereby added, effective immediately, to Amendment MPP-2 to your ' license SNM-1227.
2.8 The licensee shall follow procedures outlined in his letters dated May 8,1980 and flay 20, 1980 for sampling and measurement of uranium hexafluoride from a foreign source. The use of these procedures is limited to the first shipment of four cylinders.
Additional cylinders may not be processed until the data from the first shipment has been analyzed,found satisfactory, and made available to representatives from the NRC.
The attachment to this letter is intended to document our understanding of the additional information obtained from members of your staff.
Such information was requested for clarification of certain details of your procedures. The approval contained in this license condition is dependent epon your acceptance of these facts and understandings.
It has been established that your letters dated May 8,1980, May 20,1980 and attachments thereto as well as the attachment to this letter contains information of a type specified in 10 CFR 2.790(d). Accordingly, pursuant to section 2.790(d)(1), such information is deemed to be commercial or financial information within the meaning of 10 CFR 9.5(a)(4) and shall be subject to disclosure only in accordance with the provisions of 10 CFR 9.12.
