REPLY TO IE INSPECTION REPORTS 50-266/80-06 and 50-301/80-05 DOCKETS 50-266 and 50-301 POINT BEACH NUCLEAR PLANT This letter is in response to your letter dated May 2, 1980 transmitting the above-referenced inspection reports concerning the physical security inspection conducted by Messrs. J.
R.
Creed and G.
L.
Pirtle of your office on March 31-April 4, 1980.
As you indicated in the Notice of Violation, three items appear to be in non-compliance with commitments of the Point Beach Nuclear Plant Modified Amended Security Plan.
Also, you include in the cover letter one unresolved item and an item of concern.
Items (1), (2), and (3) and the item of concern are addressed in Enclosure "A" of this letter.
Since the unresolved item has been referred to NRC headquarters by you, we have taken the liberty of addressing this matter directly to Mr. Robert A.
- Clark, chief, Operating Reactors, Branch 3, Division of Licensing.
The enclosure to this letter is considered exempt frcm disclosure in accordance with the provisions of 10 CFR 2.790.
We request that this enclosure be treated as confidential and not be placed in any public document room, and that any reply you make be similarly withheld if it deals with the details of our plant security plan.
