ON DEFICIENCY The subject letter dated May 1,1980, cited TVA with deficiency 50-327/
80-14-01 and 50-328/80-08-01 on preservice and inservice inspection requirements. A response to this deficiency was submitted on May 23, 1980. In a telephone conversation on May 30, 1980, L. D. Zajac of your staff requested the following additional information.

All of Section 3 of Sequoyah Nuclear Plant Surveillance Instructions 114 has been reviewed for compliance to Section II of the ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code. To prevent recurrence of this problem, we rain-structed our employees to include all Section XI requirements in preparing future surveillance instructions.
