Dear Mark:
We have received and reviewed TMIA's Supplemental Response to Interrogatories of Licensee, and supporting memorandum, dated May 20, 1980.
While we look forward to TMIA's promised supplemental installment responses and complete response by June 30, 1980, to the subject interrogatories, your May 20 response portends potential problems.
To cure any misunderstandings and avoid future problems, we want to take the opportunity weeks before your complete response is to be filed to apprise you of our concern.
First, Licensee's interrogatories which are to be answered completely by June 30 are 5-1, 5-1(a), 5-1(b), 5-1(c), 5-1 (d),
5-2, 5-2 (a), 5-2 (b), 5-2(c), 5-2 (d ),
5-3, 5-3 (a), 5-3(b), 5-3(c),
5-3 (d), 5-4, 5-4 (a), 5-4 (b), 5-4 (c), 5-6, 5-6 (b), 5-6 (c), and 5-6 (d).
These interrogatoriec were the subject of Licensee's Second Motion to Compel Discovery of Three Mile Island Alert, dated April 22, 1980, and the Board's Memorandum and order on Licensee's Second Motion to Compel Discovery of TMIA, o f l',ay 1, 19 80.
Your May 20 response refers to some but not all of these interrogatories.
We do not want our silence to be misconceived as indication that we will not insist on answers to each of the outstanding interrogatories.

SHAW, PITTMAN, POTTS & TROWBRIDGE Mark P. Widoff, Esquire June 4, 1980 Page Two Second, in accordance with Section 2.740a of the Commission's Rules of Practice, Licensee anticipates each of the outstanding interrogatories will be answered separately and fully in writing under oath or affirmation.
Your attention is directed to the instructions at pages 1 and 2 of our interrogatory package as originally filed on January 14, 1980.
In this regard, as we stated,at the prehearing conference on May 13, tr. 1981-84, mere references to specific work requests are not adequate responses to our interrogatories.
Promptly after receiving your responses to all of the outstanding interrogatories, we intend to review the responses for their completeness.
To the extent we deem the answers as inadequate, we intend to seek appropriate relief from the Board, up to and including the possibility of moving to dismiss entirely TMIA's Contention 5 from the proceeding.
Sincerely, hM/ /.YAS,e /,'.
