Description of Modification:
This modification lnvolves installation of an RHR Servi ~ce Water Pump seal'
~
leakage water collection and discharge system. The seal water, a major contributor to' the free standing water, is collected in a receiver tank and discharged to the service water standpipe.
Summary of Safety Evaluation:
By reducing the humidity in the area in which the pumps are located will increase the reliability of the equipment. The new vault penetrations are tested of the same frequency as the present penetrations. Also, check valves and air operated Isolation valves are included to provide system.
reliability.
M-4-2-80-3 Description of Modification:
This modification involved the installation of additional seismically quallfled supports and a sof t-seated check valve in the Target Rock Safety /
Relief valve pneumatic supply line. This was required in. response to NRC IE Bulletin 80-01.
I Summary of Safety Analysis:
This modification does not change the operability of the S/RV system. The margin of safety is ennanced by upgrading-existing equipment to withstand design basis events.
