Dear Mr. Denton:

The Potomac Electric Power Company hereby withdraws its application for an Early Site Review of the Douglas Point Nuclear Generating Station.

Load growth forecasts continue to indicate that there is little possibility that the Company will comence construction of a generation facility at Douglas Point within the validity period of any Early Site Review Findings.
