Supplemental Response to NRC Item 50-416/79-34 01 i

(1) Corrective Steps Taken and Results Achieved This response is supplemented as follows:

A review of the Unit I radiog~aphs for the piping spools supplied by the NSSS sub-tier vendor in question has been conducted. This review revealed density ranges were in excess of T-262.3 and a review of the area of interest on adjacent film was not possible as the flash card film identification on a few films had been positioned so as to obscure a small percentage of the overall weld.

(2) Correctiss Steps Taken to Avoid Further Noncompliance (a) This tisponse applies to the Recirculation System piping as well.

(b) This response applies to the Recirculation System piping as well.

(c) This response requires no change.
