Gentlemen:
On November 14, 1979 Mr. E. D. Groover, QA 5ite Supervisor at Plant Vogtle reported to your Mr. Tom Conlon that a poter cial reportable item under 10CFR50.55e existed at Plant Vogtle concerning dewatering and erosion of backfill.
Since our interim letters of January 15, 1980, log GM-551, February 15, 1980, log GM-570 and March 24,1980, log GM-593, Georgia Power Company has provided additional information in our letters of April 7,1980, log GM-601 and April 25, 1980, log GM-613.
At this time, Georgia Power Company is still unable to establish a definite ccmpletion date for the final report. An additional update and, if possible, a date for the final report will be provided by July 15, 1980.
This response contains no proprietary information and may be placed in the NRC Public Document Room upon receipt.
