I much appreciate your kind letter and thank you for it. We do indeed seem to come at the matters between us from far distant points of view, but that only increases the need for us to talk together.
I must say that I admired the restraint of your group at our meeting:
the issues at Three Mile are ones you all feel very strongly about, I know, but you heard me out in a fair and reasonable way.
I wish more of our meetings with concerned citizens could be of that nature.
