Dear Mr. Wolfe:
This is in reply to your letter of April 23, 1980 in which you requested that the Staff advise you as to when it expects to issue Supplement 3 to the Black Fox Safety Evaluation Report (SER).
The current date for the SER supplement is indefinite, but its completion is not anticipated until sometime near the end of the year. As you may be aware, the Staff is presently aeveloping Three Mile Island-related require-ments for near-term construction applicants, and this matter is being closely coordinated with the Coninission and the ACRS. The final date for the SER supplement in Black Fox is, therefore, dependent upon the results of future meetings with the ACRS and the Commission and the ultimate scope of the additional near-term construction permit requirements. A more definite date for the issuance of the SER supplement in Black Fox must await the conclusion of these activities. We will, however, promptly advise the Board when a final date for the completion of the SER supplement is determined.
