Operating License No. DPR-50 Docket No. 50-289 Containment Purge This letter is in response to Mr. D. G. Eisenhut's letter of September 27, 1979, and revises our letter of November 20, 1979 (GQL 1440).
Mr. Eisenhut's letter requested Met-Ed to commit to a valve qualification program on an expedited baais. Per our letter of January 4,1979 (GQL 0007),
Met-Ed committed to a purge valve qualification program and submittal of the results by December 15, 1979. Therefore, Met-Ed considers that committment to adequately answer Mr. Eisenhut's letter.
Due to the recent meetings between our purge valve manufacturer and the Commission, which concluded with our purge valve manufacturer increasing the scope of the valve qualification effort, we are requesting an extension for submittal of these results of the qualification program until January 31, 1981.
