SUBJECT:
DEDICATED TELEPHONE LINE TO NFS - WEST VALLEY This is in response to your memorandum of February 6,1980, regarding the direct and dedicated telephone line to NFS West Valley.
The procedures for the Duty Officer will be changed imediately to require that any false rings on the NFS West Valley line will require the Duty Officer to also call the facility to check on the plant status.
l Although AT&T representatives have indicated orally that any problem on the OPX lines will cause a ring on the Duty Officer console plus actuation (/ the ar.oro-t priate indicator light, we are requesting TB to confim with AT&T that this method is completely reliable or identify any weakness in the system.
We will keep you infomed of our progress in this matter.
