Docket Nos. STN 50-522 and STN 50-523 Gentlemen:

During the conference among the parties of January 22, 1980, the Staff and its consultant, the U.S.G.S., made reference to three preliminary geologic maps of the Clear Lake quadrangle in Skagit County, Washington, in addition to a seismic sketch of the San Juan Islands area. At the conference, the U.S.G.S. committed to provide copies of the three maps, as well as a non-proprietary version of the seismic sketch. As of this date, a non-proprietary version of the seismic sketch has not yet been released by the U.S.G.S.

It could be several more weeks before such a version is available for distri-bution to the Board and parties to this proceeding. However, all three Clear Lake quadrangle maps are publicly available.

Two of these maps have been reproduced by the U.S.G.S. and are included in this mailing. The third map should be reproduced shortly, and copies will be distributed when they are available.
