Dear Mr. McIntyre:
The Commission is proposing to revise its schedule of fees in 10 CFR Part 170 for facilities and materials applications and licenses.
The revised schedule would add a new subcategory of fees for persons filing quality assurance plans for review and impose an application fee of $160. The total charge would be based on the actual costs expended for the review except that $160 would be the minimum charge for any single application or request.
The proposed fee schedule is set forth in the enclosed Notice of Proposed Rule Making which we have transmitted to the Federal Register. The Notice will allow 30 days for public coment after publication.
