Nuclear Regulatory Commission (the Commission) has issued Amendment No.1 te Facility Operating License No. R-127, issued to Memphis State -
L'niversity, which revised t 'e license and Technical Specifications for operation cf the AGN-201 nuclear reactor (the facility) located on the licensee's campus in Pe.phis, Tennessee.
The amendment is effective as of its date of issuance.
The amendment authorizes: 1) an increase in the facility's licensed maximum power level form 100 milliwatts (thennal) to 20 watts (thermal) for continuous operation and authorizes intermittent operation at power levels nct in excess of 1000 watts (thermal); and 2) an increase in the amount, fror. 700 grams to 1400 grams, of contained U-235 enriched equal to or less than 20% for use in connection with the facility.
I The application for the amendment complies with the standards and requirements of the Atomic Energy Act of 1954, as amended (the Act), and the Commission's rules ar.d regulations.
The Commission has made appropriate findings as required by the Act and the Commission's rules and regulations in 10 CFR Chapter I, which are set forth in the license amendment.
