Westinghouse Electric Corporation has submitted an application for a
!;uclear Fuel Fabrication Plant ( ANFFP), a new facility proposed for loca-Special Nuclear Material license for its Nuclear Fuel Division, Alabama i
tion near Prattville, Alabama. The NIFFP will convert low-enriched uranium hexafluoride into uranium dioxide (U0 )- for fabrication into 2
ceramic fuel pellets which are subsequently encapsulated into cetal tubing and clustered into fuel assemblies for shipment to comercial nuclear poder plants.
The 814-acre site is located in Autauga County near Prattville, Alabama.
