Dear Mr. Engelken:
Bulletin 79-01B issued January 14, 1980, item 6, required the District to make an immediate report if nonenvironmentally qualified components are utilized as safety equipment and required to function during postulated accidents.
AreportwassubmittedtoyouroificeonApril 17, 1980 stating

that NAMCO switches, Model Nos. M-2-300 and D1200G, were identified on safety related valves. The subsequent investigation determined that these switches are solely utilized for light Indication.
The switches do not control actuation, position nor any other interlock function. Therefore, this occurrence is not reportable and Reportable Occurrence -
80-20 will be deleted from the LER flie.
