S. fluclear Regulatory Comission (the Commission) has issued Amendment flo. 42 to f acility Operating License flo. OPR-24, and Arendment No. 47 to Facility Operating License No. DPR-27 issued to ',tisconsin Electric Power Company (the licensee), which revised Tech-nical Specifications for operation of Point Beach Nuclear Plant, Unit i;os.1 and 2 (the facilities) located in the Town of Two Creeks, l'anitcwac County, Wisconsin.

The amendments are effective as of the date of issuance.

The amendments modify the qualification requirements for the plant site radiation protection manager.

The application for the amendments complies with the standards and requirements of the Atomic Energy Act of 1954, as amended (the Act), and the Comission's rules and regulations.

The Commission has rade appropriate findings as required by the Act and the Comission's rules and regulations in 10 CFR Chapter I, which are set forth in the license amendments.

Prior public notice of these amendments was i

not required since the amendments do not involve a significant hazards consideration.

a The Conmission has determined that the issuance of these amenoments will not result in any significant environ.nontal impact and that pursuant to 10 CFR %51.5(d)(4) an environmental impact statement or negative declaration and environr. ental impact appraisal need not be prepared in connection with issuance of these acendments.
