Licensee Event Report-Iate Submittal Gentlemen:

On March 5, 1980 the Georgia Tech Research Reactor was shut down to investi-gate a coolant flow anomaly. In a telephone cornersation with Mr. H. C. Dance of your staff on March 17, 1980, it was mutually agreed that a 30 day Licensee Event Report (LER) would be submitted.

During the hydraulic startup of our coolant system this mornirs (April 4,1980) an unusual sound was heard from one of the heat exchangers that was worked on as part of our recent investigation. Mr. P. A. Taylor of your staff was notified and we agreed to a delayed issuance of the LER until we have further investigated this unusual noise. I would expect to issue the LER by April 11, 1980.
