Docket Nos. 50-454, 50-455 Gentlemen:

On February 13, 1980, we moved the Board for entry of an order ruling on the admissibility of the filed conten-tions of the League of Women Voters of Rockford or, alterna-tively, setting a schedule for briefing the admissibility of said contentions. By Order, dated February 21, 1980, the Board requested the parties to file briefs on the admissi-bility of said contentions by March 14, 1980. Prior to receipt of said Order, Mr. Myron Cherry, representing the League of Women Voters of Rockford, requested that Common-wealth Edison Company agree to the entry and continuance of its Motion until March 10, 1980, in order to permit the League to file revised contentions. Both Edison and the NRC Staff, by Mr. Myron Karman, agreed to this request as is set forth 14. Mr. Cherry's letter to you dated February 22, 1980.

Since receipt of your Order, both Mr. Cherry and Mr. Karman have advised me they wish to abide by the February 22, 1980 agreement reached by the parties.

In view of the foregoing, we request that the Board vacate its Order of February 21, 1980, and permit the League to file revised contentions on March 10, 1980. In scoo oo 4'//

Messrs. Miller, callihan and Cole March 5, 1980 Page Two the event the League fails to file revised contentions by March 10, 1980, Edison will file its brief on the earlier contentions by March 25, 1980. In the event revised conten-tions are filed by March 10, 1980, we would propose to respond thereto by March 25, 1980, or, if it appears further attempts to negotiate with the League would be warranted and fruitful, we will so inform the Board.

Sincerely, n '
