Dear Mr. MacDonald:
l As we discussed this morning, I am, by this letter, requesting an amendment to Reference (2) changing the Quality Assurance Program implementation date from March 1,1980 to March 22, 1980.
I am requesting this extension as a precaution to allow for the proper completion of three implementing procedures affecting the areas of design control, docu-ment control, and inspection that are behind their scheduled completion or revision due dates. The affect on implementation of the overall Quality Assurance Program will be minimal as cask design and procurement activities during this period will be at a minimum.
