s This refers to your letter of !!ovember 19, 1979, for which a $1,400 safety and environmental fee was paid for an amendment to License SN?t-1227 to authorize operation of three additional facilities at the Horn Rapids Plant (i.e. the Stri Accountability !!casurement Station).
Your request ha<: been additionally classified by our safeguards Licensing staff as requiring a safeguards amendment, since the request will involve a review of your accountability controls and measurement methods. A safeguards amendment fee of $3,500 is, therefore, required as specified in fee Category 1B of Section 170.31 of Part 170, copy enclosed. Payment should be made to the U.S. fluclear Regulatory Commission and mailed to my attention.
Please note Footnotes 1(d) and 4 of Section 170.31, which provide that upon cenpletion of the licensing revicu, the Commission will review its expenditures for professional manpower and appropriate support services; reccupute the amend.aent fee, and, if necessary, refund any overcharges.
