20555 Attention:

Mr. Robert W. Reid, Chief Operating Reactor Branch h Division of Operating Reactors Gentlemen:

Enclosed are five (5) copies of Revision 6 to the Calvert Cliffs Modified Amended Security Plan (MASP). These changes are a result of audits and efforts to strengthen the security organization to better comply with NRC rules and regulations. They do not decrease effectiveness of the security organization by providing delegation of duties and clear chain of command.

Reference is made to the security inspection at the Calvert Cliffs Nuclear Power Plant, Units 1 and 2, conducted between 3/17/80 and 3/21/80 by the office of Inspection and Enforcement, U. S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission, Region I.

As a result of the inspection, Mr. Roland J. Bailey, of that office, requested that a section be added to the Calvert Cliffs Security Plan describing the utilization of contract security personnel at the Plant.

In accordance with this request, there is set out in enclosure (2) to this letter, Supplement (3) to Revisicn (6) of the Calvert Cliffs Security Plan. This Supplement addresses the use of contract security personnel and vill remain in effect until the Security Plan can be revised to reflect major changes in the Nuclear Security organization.
