I recently received a copy of a notice announcing a meeting between MET Ed/GPU and NRC Staff to discuss a large number of "opsn issues" in this proceeding.
The notice was dated February 19, announcing a February 26 meeting.
How-it was not received in my office until the afternoon
- ever, of February 25, too late to permit me to adjust my schedule to attend.
Since it normally takes only one day for mail originat-ing in the metropolitan area to reach my office, it is clear that my. copy was mailed several days after the February 19 date.
Had I received notice in time, I would certainly have attended this meeting.
I request that, in the future, such notices are mailed to me at the same time they are sent to others and that if the notice is short, I am contacted by telephone.
