The mention of a 20-mile evacuation by Chairman Hendrie on Friday, March 30 did not result in a Staff recommendation for a 20-mile evacuation. The Staff formulated evacuation recommendations which were given to State officials on Sunday, April 1.
These recommendations, entitled "NRC Procedures For Decision to Recommend Evacuation" were supplied with the response to the ANGRY interro-gatories dated January 21, 1980.

Response
A description of the current conditions before and on March 30, is in Chapters l-16 of. the Special Inquiry Group Ecport, entitled "A Report To The Commissioners And To The Public", NUREG/CR-1250, Vol.1.
