Quality Assurance Program for Activities Conduc'ted Pursuant to 10CPR71 by the General Electric Nuclear Power Systems Engineering Department Gentlemen:
General Electric has submitted an application for the Model No. 589 Radwaste Shipping Package. As part of that submittal the General Electric !!uclear Power Systems Engineering Department (NPSED) hereby describes the Quality Assurance (QA) Program which NPSED will utilize for future packaging activities pursuant to 10CPR71. NPSED will follow the QA Program described in the topical report, No. NED0-ll209-014A, Rev. 1, dated February, 1980, " Nuclear Energy Division's BWR Quality Assurance Program Description". That report was sub-mitted to the Nuclear Regulatory Commission on November 29, 1979 and was approved on January 21, 1980.
It is on file with the Quality Assurance Branch, Division of Project Management.
