Mr. Harold R. Denton, Director Nuclear Reactor Regulation Office Nuclear Regulatory Commission 1717 H. Street, N. W.
Washington, D. C.
20555
Dear Mr. Denton:
First, I have five children and a new grandchild born last month so am very interested in nuclear safety.
I have read considerable literature written by pro-nuclear and anti-nuclear people with impressive credentials.
It seems to me that action by the Nuclear Regulatory Commission to stop issuing construction permits and operating licenses is ill advised and will cause tremendous economic waste, contribute further to our energy crisis, and possibly even result in less safety in our nuclear efforts, as the wiser decisions on matters of public safety are more likely to come out of people operating in a healthy economy.
The purpose of this letter is to ask you to reverse your decision and to expedite the development or nuclear energy.

Yours very truly, IRBY CONSTRUCTION CO.
