Gentlemen:
We have completed our inspection of the crankshaft thrust bearing on the "A" generator set at South Carolina Electric & Gas Co., Summer Station.
The plugs were properly installed in this unit.
The unit is free of the reported potential defect.
We will be inspecting other shipped units prior to initiai operation and will report the results of those inspections as they are made.
A copy of this report is being forwarded to the utility involved.
