Dear Dr. Morris:
The Sacramento Municipal Utility District plans to file an application for a permit to construct and operate a nuclear power plant with a gross output of approximately 2500 megawatts thermal.
Our target date for filing is October 31, 1967.
We would very much appreciate the opportunity of having a preliminary, informal meeting with you and members of your staff some weeks prior to our filing.
If convenient to you, we would suggest a date during the week of September 18, our preference being September 19 or September 20.
We would hope to meet with Mr. Roger Boyd as well as with yourself and perhaps rith the branch chief and the attorney to whom our application will be assigned.
We would plan to be represented by Mr. E. Kendell Davis, our general counsel, Mr. David S. Kaplan, of his staff, Mr. T. V. A. Dillon, our Washington representative, Mr. John J. Mattimoe, manager of our construction depart-ment, Mr. J. Y. McEntee and Mr. R. A. Norry of the Bechtel Corporation, our architect-engineer, and by the chief engineer assigned to our project by the Babcock and Wilcox Company, our reactor supplier.
