Gentlemen:
Our letter of March 17, 1980, to your Mr. H. R. Denton, informed you that a partial response to IE Bulletin 79-27 would be made by April 1, 1980. We also stated that the delay in submittal of our response was necessary due to an expansion of our review to include the Crystal River-3 (CR-3) event.
Mr. G. Vissing of your staff requested on March 26, 1980, that we pro-vide you with a letter committing to a complete response to IE Bul-letin 79-27 by April 26, 1980. We find that this would not be possible if the complete response must include a review of the CR-3 event. By limiting the scope of the bulletin to a review of AC power supply to the buses, such as the Oconee event described in the bulletin, we feel we can respond to the bulletin by the above date.
Therefore, a response to questions raised by the bulletin concerning loss of AC power supply to the NNI buses will be provided by April 26, 1980. Please disregard our committment to provide a partial response by April 1, 1980.
