Gentlemen:
'On November 14, 1979 Mr. E. D. Groover, QA Site Supervisor at Plant Vogtle, reported to your Mr. Tom Conlon that a potential reportable item under 10CFR50.55e existed at Plant Vogtle concerning dewatering and erosion of backfill.
Since our interi.n letters of January 15, 1980, log Gil-551, and February 15, 1980, log GM-570, Georgia Power Company has provided a complete status of our program and impending action to J. J. Lenahan during his liarch 17 and 18,1930 site inspection.
At this time, Georgia Power Company is still unable to establish a definite completion date for the final report. An additional update and, if possible, a date for the final report will be provided by April 15, 1980.
